To celebrate National Small Business Month, SCMC is highlighting the small businesses helping shape South Carolina.
This week, we’re spotlighting Credo Software, an Anderson, S.C., technology company that helps manufacturers and other businesses improve their operations through custom software solutions.
Founded in 2001, Credo Software began as a short-term consulting project that has since evolved into a trusted technology partner for Tier 1 manufacturers and companies across the financial, legal, and medical industries. Credo specializes in creating customized software that helps businesses improve efficiency, modernize systems, and better manage day-to-day operations using tools like AI and automation.
For CEO Sarah Curnow, innovation has always been rooted in simplicity and trust.
“Trust is the currency for true innovation,” said Curnow. “We believe the best innovation keeps things simple.”
That approach has helped Credo Software build long-term partnerships across industries, with the company maintaining a client retention rate of more than 90 percent and relationships spanning more than 25 years.
Clients say that trust and flexibility are what set Credo Software apart.
“Credo Software has been a valued partner for Bosch Anderson for years,” one client shared. “They are a great resource for us, and we truly value the relationship we have with their group.” Another client described Credo as “a friendly and easy to talk to group” that is “quick to respond to a request and always willing to help out if there is an issue.”
Over the years, Credo Software has also earned national recognition for its work, including receiving the 2017 Rexroth National Supply Chain Excellence Award for Digitalization of the Supply Chain/Connected Industry. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the company launched its Credo Cares initiative, helping support food insecurity relief efforts and assisting Anderson County and AIM in processing more than $11 million in rent and utility assistance for residents in need.
That commitment to relationships and community has played a major role in Credo’s success.
“Relationships with organizations like SCMC, South Carolina Research Authority, SC Competes, and others have been instrumental in helping us grow and build meaningful connections across the state,” said Curnow.
Looking ahead, Credo is focused on continuing to grow responsibly while helping businesses navigate rapid technological change.
“Technology should not create confusion,” said Curnow. “Our goal is to help companies understand the right tools, simplify the process, and drive their business and digital strategies in the right direction.”
