What is SC Business Week?

SC Business Week introduces young adults to the principles of business through an intensive, interactive learning experience. Students participate in workshops, simulations, and team competitions designed to develop practical skills and confidence in a real-world business environment.

Thank you for your interest in South Carolina Business Week! We are thrilled by the overwhelming response and enthusiasm from students across the state. While the original application deadline was set for April 30, all available program slots have officially been filled ahead of schedule. This is a testament to the excitement and value that Business Week continues to bring each year!

Although registration is now closed, we are currently accepting names for our waitlist. If you would like to be considered should a spot become available, please email Businessweek@myscmc.org with the following information:

Business Week’s Mission

Business Week’s mission is to contribute to the preparation of young adults for the business environment by introducing them to the principles of leadership, teamwork and the American free enterprise system while promoting self-reliance, individual responsibility and entrepreneurship.

Empowering Tomorrow’s Business Leaders Today

SC Business Week is available to the state’s rising high school juniors, seniors, and college freshmen. Throughout the week, more than 30 prominent business executives teach current business topics and leadership skills. Starting with the basics and adding topics throughout the week, students collaborate with executives in an intensive program designed to develop a thorough understanding of private enterprises.

Business & Community Impact Awards

Along with an emphasis on teamwork and leadership skills, some issues included in the program include:

  • Basic Business Finance
  • Ethics in business
  • Leadership profiling
  • The significance of diversity in business
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Additionally, student interaction with professionals provides them with the opportunity to gain information on a number of career options. Many students begin to form important choices related to college degree major and professional field of interest during South Carolina Business Week.
