Public Voting Narrows Field to 4 in 4th Annual Manufacturing Madness Contest to Select ‘Coolest Thing Made in SC’

COLUMBIA, SC – The race to determine the “Coolest Thing Made in South Carolina” is heating up as four products advance in the 4th Annual Manufacturing Madness contest.

From March 10-13, the public cast more than 45,000 votes during the Top 8 round, bringing the total votes in this year’s competition to over 196,000. Now, only four contenders remain.

The Top 4 finalists vying for the 2025 title are:

1. Fiber Optic Cable – AFL, Spartanburg

2. 787 Dreamliner – The Boeing Company, Charleston

3. High Noon Sun Sips – Gallo, Chester

4. ClimateCool Smartbed – Sleep Number, Richland

Voting for the final round takes place March 17-20, and the winner will be revealed by Governor Henry McMaster in a special ceremony at the South Carolina Statehouse on March 26th at 10 a.m.

Launched in 2022 by the South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance (SCMA), Manufacturing Madness shines a spotlight on the innovation, impact, and craftsmanship behind the products made in South Carolina. Previous winners include:

· 2023: F-16 Fighting Falcon (Lockheed Martin, Greenville)

· 2022: Steel (Nucor Steel Berkeley, Huger)
