Carter Lafitte is the Government Affairs Coordinator at South Carolina Manufacturers and Commerce, supporting the organization’s advocacy efforts through legislative tracking, policy research, and stakeholder engagement.
Carter brings a strong foundation in public policy and strategic communications shaped by her prior experience in political fundraising and legislative work. In her role, she supports legislative initiatives, monitors policy developments, and helps cultivate relationships with policymakers and partners.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Political Science from the University of South Carolina and has been actively involved with Ronald McDonald House Charities of Columbia. Carter lives in Columbia, and enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, and traveling.
