(Columbia, SC) – South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance (SCMA) President and CEO Sara Hazzard issued the following statement regarding the signing of H. 3309, the South Carolina Energy Security Act.
“Passing energy reform this year was crucial. As our state grows, so does demand for accessible, affordable and reliable power. And it took true teamwork to get the job done.
“We thank the General Assembly and the governor for recognizing the need for energy reform, and we are excited to work with Team South Carolina going forward as technology evolves, the state’s demand for affordable energy expands, and we endeavor to stay competitive with our neighbors on the dynamic playing field of economic development.”
