Susan O’Neal is the Vice President of Finance, Operations, and Administration for the South Carolina Manufacturers and Commerce.

Susan brings more than 30 years of experience in finance, operations, and organizational management across the nonprofit, trade association, and private sectors. Prior to joining SCMC, she served as Chief Financial Officer for the Mental Illness Recovery Center, Inc., where she managed accounting systems, financial reporting, and compliance with state and federal requirements, while providing regular financial updates to the Board of Directors. She previously spent nearly a decade with the SC Chamber of Commerce as Vice President of Administrative Services, overseeing financial planning, budgeting, human resources, operations, and serving as staff liaison to the Finance Committee.

Earlier in her career, Susan held senior finance roles with the National District Attorneys Association and KW Associates LLC (Budweiser of Columbia). Her background includes audit oversight, payroll administration, grant management, strategic planning, and financial reporting for complex organizations. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of South Carolina and completed Nonprofit Organizational Management (IOM) coursework through the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Susan is involved in her church’s ministry funding team, supporting stewardship and financial planning initiatives. She and her husband, Tim, reside in Hopkins.
